Ocular has experience with documentary film making using a range of styles, and have all of the equipment and experience to undertake all aspects of the documentary creation process.

Private Cable Cars of Wellington

Wellington City has over 400 private residential cable cars. Used to reach properties where building would otherwise be impractical, Wellington's private cable cars are probably a product of the tough topography and ocean climate in the region. They are a source of interest to visitors and locals alike. With the Wellington Cable Car Museum, Ocular produced a 15 minute documentary tracing the history and social impact of these cars. The documentary is on display at the Wellington Cable Car Museum and was screened in the 2007 Doc NZ Festival.

Ocular have produced several products for the Tourism industry including promotional clips, visitor information and a commercially available souvenir DVD.

• Ocular produced a 6 minute clip for the Wellington Museums Trust showing the key attractions in Wellington City.
• In conjunction with Positively Wellington Tourism, Ocular produced a 20 minute Wellington highlight reel for visitors travelling to the North Island on the Interislander.
• Before riding up the Wellington Cable Car spend a few minutes watching Ocular's "Wellington's Top Spots" promotional footage highlighting the attractions of the Cable Car Precinct.
• Wellington - The City I Love is a 22 minute souvenir DVD produced and wholesaled by Ocular and sold through tourist attractions in the City.
